How To Get Your Colorado Medical Card Today

Answer a series of questions

To obtain a marijuana card, you must first acquire clearance for an MMIC (Medical Marijuana Identification Card). It’s the only way to use cannabis for medical purposes that’s legal. Otherwise, you’ll be breaking the law and could face a prison sentence as well as a big fine.

It takes only 30 seconds to obtain your MMIC. Thanks to our online app, the complete process will take merely a few minutes, during which you’ll answer a few questions and explain to a doctor how a Medical Card might benefit you. You will receive your Medical Marijuana Card through email right away, and you may add it to your Apple or Google Wallet.

A medical doctor reviews your answers

Your medical history will be discussed with a doctor to see if you are a good candidate for medicinal marijuana. After that, you’ll need to make an appointment. No matter where you live, you can’t get an MMIC without a doctor’s approval, and you can’t get that approval without an assessment. As a result, the procedure starts with a medical professional assessing your eligibility.

The doctor looks through your medical history and asks you a few questions to see if you’re qualified. The doctor then goes over your responses and determines whether you meet the medical requirements to use medicinal marijuana.

Get your medical card approved

When you come for your appointment, you must complete a patient intake form. If you have your medical marijuana consultation online, you must fill out a few documents before visiting your doctor. The doctor will check your condition and perform any necessary tests during the evaluation. Furthermore, the doctor will almost certainly ask you a series of questions regarding your daily routine, health, and current therapies.

It varies depending on the doctor you’re visiting. After the evaluation, you should usually receive a response. If you are authorized, you will receive a downloaded recommendation that you can use instead of the MMIC to purchase marijuana online. Farmacist’s online app enables you to complete all these steps in a matter of minutes, meaning you can get approved for your medical marijuana card practically instantly.

About Medical Marijuana in Colorado

Colorado individuals have the freedom to use and produce cannabis to cure a debilitating medical condition under Article 18, section 14 of the state constitution. It also gives people who provide primary care to medical marijuana patients certain protection.

However, Colorado law prohibits any authority to medical marijuana users or their primary caregivers to sell or spread cannabis, or to keep, manufacture, cultivate, use, dispense, or transport cannabis for any purpose other than medical.

Colorado voters enacted Ballot Amendment 20 on November 7, 2000, abolishing state-level criminal sanctions on the use, possession, and cultivation of marijuana by patients who have a written prescription from a certified doctor recommending that medicinal marijuana may be beneficial to them.

Restrictions of medical marijuana:

Medical marijuana users are prohibited from doing the following things:

  • Use medical marijuana in a way that endangers another person’s health or well-being, or use medical marijuana in plain sight of or in a public area.
  • Falsely representing a medical condition to a doctor or any Colorado government organization or law enforcement official to acquire a marijuana registry identification card or escape arrest and conviction for a marijuana-related felony.
  • Steal or falsify a marijuana registry identification card that has expired or belongs to someone else.
  • Produce, duplicate, or tamper with a marijuana registration identification card illegally.
  • Without the patient’s approval, it is illegal to release any confidential record or information submitted to or by the marijuana registration or main caregiver registration.

If you break these rules, your Colorado medical marijuana ID card will be revoked for a year.

Finally, keep in mind that no employer is obligated to allow medical marijuana usage in the workplace.
